Part A – Hospital Insurance

Covers inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing, hospice, and some home health. Most people don’t pay a premium.

Part B – Medical Insurance

Covers doctor visits, outpatient care, preventive services, and durable medical equipment. Monthly premium required.

Part C – Medicare Advantage

All-in-one alternative to Original Medicare. Includes Parts A and B, often Part D, plus extras like dental, vision, and hearing.

Part D – Prescription Drug Coverage

Helps cover the cost of prescription drugs. Plans are offered by private insurers.

When you qualify for Medicare, you’ll choose between two main paths:

  • Includes Part A (Hospital) + Part B (Medical)
  • Add Medigap for supplemental coverage
  • Add Part D for prescriptions
  • See any provider who accepts Medicare nationwide
  • Predictable structure, but more out-of-pocket without Medigap
  • All-in-one plan from private insurers
  • Includes Part A + Part B (and often Part D)
  • May cover vision, dental, and hearing
  • Works within provider networks (like an HMO or PPO)
  • One premium, but rules and benefits vary by plan

How We Help—At No Cost to You

  • Review your providers, diagnoses, and medications
  • Compare plan benefits, premiums, and drug coverage
  • Recommend a plan that fits your needs and budget
  • Enroll you when eligible due to age or disability
  • Annual Review During AEP (Oct 15–Dec 7): We check changes to benefits, networks, and costs and adjust if needed

Choosing a Medicare plan can feel overwhelming. As you compare your options, take the following factors into account:

Each plan offers different monthly premiums, deductibles, copays, and out-of-pocket maximums. Consider which structure works best with your budget.

Your medical conditions and treatment needs determine what type of coverage is most important. Make sure the plan you select supports your current care—and keeps you protected in the future.

Some Medicare Advantage plans offer extra benefits such as vision, hearing, dental, or fitness programs. You may also want to consider a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan that helps reduce out-of-pocket expenses.

Always check the provider network. Make sure your current doctors, specialists, and preferred clinics are included—or that the available options meet your needs.
